About Mindfulness Education 4 Life™
Mindfulness Education 4 Life™ (ME4L™), founded in 2012, is an organization that develops and promotes the application of research-based skills and practices to help children, youth, and adults live a more mindful life.
Mindfulness is nonjudgmental, moment-to-moment awareness. Mindfulness practices invite us to be present in the here and now and savor all aspects of our life more fully. This fosters emotional balance and a sense of well-being - we become more peaceful.
Cutting-edge neuroscience confirms that practicing mindfulness facilitates awareness and self-regulation. Neuroscience lays the groundwork to recognize our potential for being more focused and calm. This understanding inspires us to apply the skills needed to break free from our brain's reactive patterns and become more thoughtful and response-able.
Mindfulness Education 4 Life's vision for the future is a peaceful and responsible society of mindful children, youth, and adults who are aware, compassionate, happy and response-able.
The mission of Mindfulness Education 4 Life™ is to bridge neuroscience and mindfulness skills to cultivate a peaceful and response-able society.

Four strategic goals establish a framework to enhance the impact of Mindfulness Education 4 Life™. Our goals are to: create materials, facilitate trainings, support mindfulness education programs, and partner with advocates of health and well being for children, youth, and families.
Calming Ourselves in Stressful Moments™ is the first in
a series of Mindfulness Education 4 Life™ programs
This playful, creative, and easy-to-use program helps children, ages 3-8, develop the mindfulness skills to manage stress. It also helps adults manage their own stress as they guide children in calming themselves.
The First Edition and Second Editions of the Calming Ourselves in Stressful Moments™ program, developed and distributed by Comprehensive Health Education Foundation™, have been successfully implemented by hundreds of parents, childcare providers, teachers, social service professionals, and health-care providers.
The Third Edition of Calming Ourselves in Stressful Moments™ materials and presentations is under development and will be available through Mindfulness Education 4 Life™.

and as a society in future moments
will be shaped in large measure
by whether and how we make use of our innate and incomparable capacity for awareness in this moment."
